Quick answer
Revocation and annulment are different
Revocation concerns a change or new evidence showing that the conditions for the authorisation are no longer met. Annulment concerns evidence that the conditions were not met at the time ETIAS was originally issued.
You are notified of the decision
The authorities send a decision explaining the reason for revocation or annulment and the procedure to follow if you wish to appeal.
If you are already in an ETIAS country
If an authorisation is revoked or annulled while you are already in the territory, the official guidance says you no longer meet the ETIAS conditions for legal stay. Follow the instructions in the decision and applicable national rules.
A new application may be possible in some cases
Depending on the reason, such as receiving a replacement travel document, you may be able to submit a new ETIAS application. A new application does not cancel an appeal right or automatically overcome the underlying issue.
